ASTROCYTES

Main role:
  1. Enshesth synapses, regulate neural excitability and synaptic transmission.
  2. Respond to injury by secreting extra cellular matrix proteins.
  3. Implicated in Neuro Genesis, cell migration and many neurological and Psychiatric disorders.
  4. Regulate the transmission of electrical signals across synapses by modifying the concentration of extra cellular potassium; Controlling local blood flow, releasing and taking up neuro transmitters and other Neuro modulatory substances, delivering nutrients to neurons, and altering the Geometry and volume of space between brain cells. All these things influence nervous system, communication and plasticity.
  5.  Astrocytes have anatomical and physiological properties that may impose higher- order organization on information processing in the brain. In the gray matter of the cerebral cortex and Hypocampus, Astrocytes are organized in non overlaping domains.
  6. The largest cell body, had been found to stop up extra neurotransmitter molecules around neurons, there by protecting nerve cells from receiving too much stimulation.
  7.  A fatty complex called APOE/Cholestrol and the protein Thrombospondin, these two chemicals are released by astrocytes to stimulate synapsys formation.
  8. Astrocytes might contribute to  a greater capacity for learning.
  9.  Neurons are like telephone communicating electrically through hard wired synaptic connections, Astrocytes may be like cell phones communicating with chemical signals that broadcast widely but can be detected only by other astrocytes.
  10. Astrocytes have listening ability.

This practise requires minimum one year. In every practise Rewrite the paper for minimum 5 times, understanding the functions of the astrocytes. Practise meditation on your’s A 25 for 5 minutes. 30 minits Visualize the functions of Astrocytes in your Prefrontal cortex-Brain Insula-White matter-Neuron-Synapses junction- Astrocytes coverage. Functions- Ferrying, Ion exchange, Neurotransmitter maintenance, Releasing ATP, Listening ability etc.  (Contd… 18)

Hai Friends,

Scientists often speak of brain aging in terms of cog native changes.  As we age, our brain, gradually slower speed. Slowed processing speed may influence other aspects of cognition, including so called executive functions such as planning and reasoning, and tasks that require a kind of parallel processing of holding and integrating multiple items in memory. New neurons of neuro genesis takes main role to speed up. Write on paper, visualize, focus, repeat, improves memory.

Negative pattern of thought and behavior disturb the brain path waves, brain imaging studies gives this evidence. We loose thousands of neurons everyday. Hypocampus and the olfactory bulb, regularly generate new neurons, many of which go on to become functioning players in brain circuits. Genetics clearly plays a role in successful aging, but how we live our lives on a day to day basis is critical.

Physical experience, and challenging and intellectually stimulating mental activity, diet, social connections, how we manage stress, how we view our world and ourselves are all important factors. Frontal cortex and hypocampus shinks with age.

A good news from brain research, the brain is just as capable of learning in the second half of life as in the first half. “wisdom” by many definitions, denotes an enhance capacity to grasp the essence of complex situations or problems and act accordingly. We can make the brain work better simply by accumulating more knowledge, which builds more network of connections in the brain. The wisdom that we acquire can compensate for the decline that may be gradually occurring. The prefrontal cortex, the area of the brain just behind the forehead, is essential to higher thinking executives functions such as planning, reasoning and judgment. So we mainly meditate on this PFC. Think positive, start each day by looking at the glass as half full. Self-efficacy entails an ability to adapt to life challenges, to maintain a degree of control over our life, and to feel as if we are contributing to our families and society. Pursue social activities such as traveling with friends, golfing or taking yoga classes. While acute short term stress can actually improve memory, chronic stress takes a toll on the brain. Exercise and positive social interactions can help us cope with stress.

Stanford university, which used functional magnetic resonance imaging(FMRI) to track patter patterns of activation in the brain, founds the older adults are more responsive to positive images than to negative one’s. Compared to younger adults, people aged seventy to ninety showed greater activation in a brain region that is central to emotional processing(The Amygdla) when they looked at the pictures of people expressing positive emotions verses negative one. Older adults experience fewer negative emotions and are less likely to remember negative emotional stimuli than positive stimuli.

The brain wants to learn, it wants to be engaged as a learning machine. The brain requires active continuous learning. It requires change, and that changes requires that you are acquiring new skills and abilities, new hobbies and activities that require the brain to remodel itself. That is the key.

GG practice perfectly tighten the bolts of the learning machine, in a natural process. We practice mainly on the prefrontal cortex, it improves higher thinking and planning. (Contd...7-18)

BRAIN ARCHITECTURE
Hai Friends,
In the body sense and visulisation images of meditation are collected by PET Scanning.   Some evidences from mediator brain – when they imaging sensation of weight on various parts of the body, several areas including the frontal lobe and anterior cignulate cartex (A-25) were activated in the mediators brain when he visualize landscape, visual regions in the occipital lobe became active.  Self photo imagination vision lit up with activity in the surrounding areas of the superior parietal lobe.  Mediators brain wave revealed increase in theata activity and higher release of Dopamine Neuro Transmitter Associated with feelings of pleasure.

The cortex is only 3 to 5 millimeters thick, but takes up more than a third of brain’s volume, because it is folded like the shell of a walnut into a maze of hills and valleys.  Anterior cingulate cortex involves in regulating the autonomic nervous system, including heart rate, breathe rate and B.P.   Parietal lobe play a role in both sense and spatial perception.  Somatosensory cortex analyses information relating to pain, pressure, touch, and temperature from all parts of the body.  The inner Hippocampus, Amygdala are the heart of the memoy and emotions.  The temporal lobe is also involved in hearing (Nadha), as it contains the auditory cortex, the chief brain are for sound and speech processing.  Occipital lobe which contain the primary visual cortex.

Dear friends above evidences give you clarity of meditation.  In GYM we can improve our physical muscles.  In Glia Gym we improves our brain parts and nervous system.  Weights play main role in normal Gym, but in our Glia Gym Glia plays main role.  Prefrontal cortex (inside of the forehead) insula (White matter), Area-25, Images are most important in our practice.  So, we have to improve more awareness in this area.  Initially practice A-25 meditation or Brain jogging Youtube, from our previous achieves.

Meditation increase the size of the brain internally and externally.  Along with size of the brain, inner population of the neurons and glias populations also increases.  From the childhood to oldage daily neuro genses takes place in Hippocampus.  In 30 days baby neurons grows as a neuron with the help of BDNF.    Glia’s carry this neurons to the necessity areas of the brain.  With in two weeks a new work must be allotted to the neurons for survivelence and establishing.  Without work new ones died in two weeks.  Daily in this process we are loosing valuable neurons!  Old neurons cannot learn new technology; only new ones can learn and survive.   By this new one can learn new technology, at any age.   Our brain plasticity, memory increases to the max.  If you learn more technology, you can save many new neurons, you will become a multi talented person.  Meditation Genisis the new neurons and establish them by learning new technology, improves yours brain plasticity and memory, as a skyrocket.

Please don’t confuse with related topics.  Our body assimilates protein along with carbohydrates only.  Related topics are like carbohydrates, They assimilate the main practice (Proteins) to the max.  (Contd…5-18)
